There is an endless list of activities and sites to fill your time in the area, we've listed a few below that are popular with our guests.
Walking
There are dozens of good walks only a short drive from the village. There are varying lengths and difficulties depending on whether you want a casual stroll to blow away the cobwebs or a good days hike. Probably the most popular walk in the BBNP are the Beacons theirselves, Pen-Y-Fan and Corn Ddu. For more information have a look on walkscene. About 25 minutes drive is the waterfall district at Ystradfellte, this is a picturesque walk taking in several waterfalls nestled in the woodland. There are varying routes depending on how far you want to walk, an account of someones walk can be found here.Closer by is the Usk reservoir which is within walking distance of the village, or you can drive there and walk the 6 mile perimeter. Cycling
There are many trails and routes in the Beacons for cyclists, with varying lengths and difficulty to suit you. Map and route packs are available for £5.99 from the Information Centres in and around the National Park For more information visit Cycle Brecon Beacons and Mountain Biking Brecon Beacons.
Fishing
The BBNP is renowned for it's salmon and trout fishing. There are many good fishing spots in the vicinity, including local reservoirs, the river Usk and coarse fishing at Llangorse lake.
Golf
What must be one of the most picturesque golf courses in Britain, Cradoc golf club welcomes visitors and won Welsh club of the year in 2005. For more information visit the club's site.
